I remember the "Kent" period. I didn't like it. If I were a graduate of the University of Akron I would be outraged at how so many people, even students there and graduates, refer to it as "Akron U".

I'm glad we made that distinction too. Kent is a nice high school. Kent State is a fantastic university.

North Hill Community College is my favorite.

Call them what you will, even Buchtel College (the original name), but they are going to be a tough opponent, as they are only down 2 at Ball State with 2:40 to go. Ball State will be tough, too, as will Toledo who manhandled WMU tonight. The MAC season will be a meatgrinder.

Kent State clearly had the most impressive pre-conference season. But the more i think of it the tougher the MAC season is looking. Of course, it should be tough for everyone, especially on the road. It should be interesting. Very interesting.

I agree with the above. Watching the games last night was a reminder that the MAC is the still the MAC. Despite what that means to some observers, it’s my kind of conference.

Toledo has something for sure and the Akron vs. Ball State was a slugfest. It’s going to be fun.

Akron did not win.

I have no inside information, but something is off with Jacobs. Guy cannot put the ball in the basket for some reason. We are not playing well again today. It's concerning and will catch up to us at some point (thank goodness it wasn't today).

Jacobs 3/26 from the floor last 3 games. Yikes.
