I think UTA will have a tough week 70% of the League schedule.

Yeah ,The WAC has a lot of good teams this year but I believe Utah Valley and Seattle may be the best of the WAC.

I think SFA is getting better every week, but my big takeaway is that NMSU is terrible this year.

Holy cow I don't think I've ever seen 5 dudes on the floor play as less of a team. What happened to NMSU?

NMSU has almost an entire new team, new coach no chemistry at all.

I've watched all three of NMSU's conference games and it just seems like their new coach is not that good. I do not know anything about him, but he has some great athletes on the team and he has been unable to make them into a team.

Or perhaps the WAC just got too difficult for NMSU. Lucky for them they are going to a depleted CUSA next year. 02-13-banana

I also think there are some major hangovers from their major incident at the beginning of the season, players and coaches.

UTA is historically underperforming this season against the non-elite teams, but it is almost time for them to spring a trap on one of the better WAC teams like UVU, as they did against San Francisco. Don't be surprised....

NMSU has a juco coach with a ton of juco players. At the Juco level it's about getting mine so I can get to my next spot, this HC and his players for the most part are acting like they are still at the juco level.

Y'all really need to knock it off with all the lame excuses for nmsu. They are more than capable of coming up with their own.

Fact is nmsu is the same as it ever was, its just the WAC as a conference is much improved. In for more of the same in CUSA, where they're gonna be FIU'd in football and basketball.

I didn't mean to leave SHSU out of the conversation of the best of the WAC, truth is I will be surprised if Sam doesn't finish in the top 2. The reason I only mentioned UVU and Seattle is because we play them this week. I think the WAC is very top heavy this year, with us anchoring the bottom.

RE: 2022-23 WAC MBB Week #9
RGV has played well in spurts. Overall it was a good first half I think. Seattle has gotten some easy shots that RGV needs to work on on D, but things haven’t come easily to them. Lower scoring than I expected. Thinks might open up a little in the 2nd.

UT leading Cal Bap early. UT still playing without Cam Gooden. CBU looks a little off, as they have all season. Something is missing from their squad. They’re decent still, but definitely not great.

GCU knocks off Sam Houston on the road in OT with no Jovan for most the game (hope Jovan is ok going forward). Was down 12 or so late in the game too, it was a rock fight for most the game. GCU had like just as many turnovers as Sam Houston fans in the stands lol
