Looking forward to Wednesday's game
A chance to get the "bad taste" out after Saturday's blow-out. We've been blown out of conference games before and went on to have decent seasons. Hopefully, it was just "one of those nights". Honestly, I'd rather lose by 25, than by one at the buzzer like UT-Martin lost here last Thursday. Two home wins and we'll be sitting in first place. Feel pretty good about Lidenwood, but a lot less confident about SEMO.

If you didn’t feel pretty confident about a home game against a first year provisional Division I team picked almost universally as last in the conference, then it would be time to just hang it up!

Lindenwood won their first home conference game by 18 points, after losing their first road conference game by one point. So they appear to be pretty competitive in the OVC. I don't view them as an automatic win, but do feel we should definitely be able to beat them at home.

Lindenwood is ranked #344 out of 363 total teams in Division I. Little Rock is ranked #325, so on paper anyway, Little Rock should win the game tomorrow. But man, how far has our program fallen when we are discussing whether our #325 team can or should win a home game against #344!

In the last few seasons, I have no confidence in much of anything when it comes to this program. As soon as you see something that engenders confidence, reality hits us upside the head.

Hard to argue with that. I thought we had turned things around after easily beating UT-Martin. Then we get embarrassed our next time out. Really hard to know what to expect this week.

At least, we are in the "right" conference. If we had gotten in the MoValley, like some of us wanted, we would not win a league game. We might win a few in the Sun Belt, but not many. Still believe we will win our share this year in the OVC.

Actually, according to the current NCAA Net Rankings (I just checked), Lindenwood is #322 and we are #325. So the game is probably a pick-um, on a neutral court, but we will be favored at home.

Interesting that a number of our old rivals (TAAC; Sun Belt) are ranked worse or not much better than we are- UNO- 358; Lamar 357; UTSA 316; ULM 315. Way up at 295 and 293, respectively are UTA and ASU. At one time, I would have seen those teams, along with LR, as a pretty decent basketball conference.

Little Rock vs. Lindenwood prediction

I had heard of Lindenwood, but honestly, that was only because I attended school in Missouri.
