Hard to rank the NY6 bowls in terms of importance. But I do think this one wins for most exciting. It also pulls the league’s major bowl record back to .500. I’m sure the SBC vultures were celebrating the death of the P6 when the game was 45-30. Lol

Tulane's run is just what the AAC needed to get from one of the stay behind members. I still believe the AAC will be the king of the G leagues.

Yeah, I think it allows the AAC to have a team in the top 25 once the preseason rankings come out.

Gives the AAC a leg up on next seasons NY6.

Great win Tulane and I am doubly glad it is one of the incumbents and not one of the 3 departing teams.

2015 Houston beat #9 FSU
2017 UCF beat #7 Auburn
2022 Tulane beat #10 USC

I would put the wins as:
1. Tulane
2. UCF
3. Houston

....for obvious reasons 02-13-banana
I would rank them like this in terms of importance:
1. UCF 2017
2 UCF 2013
3. Tulane 2022
4. Houston 2014

UH won that game convincedly on both offense and defense. it also brought light to the AAC and helped kick start and solidify the P6 campaign. Perception wise that UH game is either 1-2 but definitely not last. After that we abandoned football and decided to become a basketball school. I would also count the UC CFP game in there also even though the outcome wasnt what we wanted.

I agree. The Houston win started the roll and now Tulane has continued it.

As for the quality of opponents beat, I would rank this win by Tulane against USC as the best. This is not a knock on Florida State, Baylor or Auburn. It's more of a compliment of USC.

They are coached by Lincoln Riley and are lead by the best player we've faced in one of these bowl games in Caleb Williams. If not for Williams, Tulane likely wins this game by three TDs. I'm being serious when I say that.

Overall, the best team in this bunch was the 2014 Coogs. That was a very, very good team.
And after houston beat Florida st the very next game houston beat #3 Oklahoma
