That reminds me. Stay away from Tiger donation sites that skim 20% off the top.

What if I drop it to 18%?

I know you are being facetious and are not this stupid , but the lack of NIL money is a REAL problem wheter you admit it or not

It's not really a problem amongst our peers in the G5. Which are the games we need to win, that we are not. I think that is the bigger point.

Even Veatch admitted after he got raked about the email/video that we are doing pretty well amongst the G5 in NIL.

we will have to raise our NIL quite a bit to be near the top in our own conference.

RE: Staff changes
STC & OL coach had to go, both special teams and O-line play have been subpar for several years.
Is six-months as an Off QC enough time in a college system to be competent with the ins/outs of recruiting, etc? I’d think Diehl has a skill set he is more than capable of teaching, it would be the admin/recruiting he would have to get up to speed with.
Both James Shibest & Will Burnham would be great replacements for STC.

Both would be solid. Former Ark. St. QB Ryan Alpin is WR coach at Ga. Southern. He has worked w a lot of great receivers and would be a good hire for the same here. Also, Clint Trickett worked w Cramsey at Marshall.

Seems like some want it both ways. Last year it was the OC and DC’s fault. We had new ones this year with the same record.

And would love to have Clint's dad back at Memphis as OL coach. One of the best in the business!!

I think the kickers did fine, but we gave up a punt and kickoff return TD, plus the onside kick recovery against Houston.

I recall when Norvell was here we had some starters on special teams, especially kickoff coverage. That seemed to work well. Of course Lembo was great and seems to be doing well at South Carolina.

We had issues with our coverage teams.

Our kicking and return teams improved from the previous season.

Blocking and dropped balls are the two that killed us. Guys dropped wide open balls too many times.

RE: Staff changes
Before the season, there were 5 people that were on staff at Memphis (coaching and Support Staff) that went to the Cotton Bowl. The head Strength & Conditioning coach, the assistant Strength & Conditioning coach, Head Equipment Manager, Silverfield, and Glidden were on staff. Silverfield had to deal with a brand new video & training staff. Which I think is an odd thing to see. Like everybody "behind the scenes" is fairly new.

However, I think you could see the special teams drop off in fundamentals.

USU dominated our interior line.

Many times it was just missed assignments, especially by our guards.

They doubled the DT and ignored the LB.

LB just waited for them to take themselves out of the play and shoot the gap into our backfield.
