RE: 2022-23 WAC MBB Week #8
Tarleton has too many injuries right now to beat the better teams in the conference. If we had two of our three bigs who were out, I think we would have won.
Nice arena ACU. My only issue is the game clock needs to be on the big screen over the court. The time clocks are only shown on screens located in the ends of the lower bowl.

Yes, they got 2 big wins early in the season, but the first win was almost 2 months ago now. Since then they have also lost to 2 good teams (Nevada and Oklahoma State) in somewhat unimpressive fashion, played a bunch of schools like Arlington Baptist, and the only D1 wins since the Utah win are an average NET of 289-Louisiana Monroe, South Dakota, Northern Illinois and Texas State.
Going on the road at UVU losing like they did is a bad sign. They can be a factor in the league race, but I think they’ll most likely play the roll of spoiler if they have many games like this.
The regular season champ could easily have a fair number of losses this year due to the parity in the group of about 6 teams at the top. Somebody is going to get hot and go on a tear this season. UVU is as good of a guess as any to me. They have a lot going for them.
The Kats did not make excuses for the loss to UVU but the Sam fan base is talking a lot about the travel issues. Apparently instead of arriving at 8 p.m., they didn’t arrive until 6 a.m. the next morning to Utah. Tired legs?
Nice to see the bounce back at NMSU.
Will learn a lot more with GCU coming to town this week
