OT somewhat: Please vote for Montana Wells - Magnolia
I am asking Rice fans a favor again and vote for Montana. He is on the list for Houston area HS Outstanding QB. Earlier this year, I asked this same favor and he was selected QB of the week. After being selected First Team All-District several weeks ago, he was placed on this poll for Outstanding QB of the year. He is definitely deserving but needs as many votes as he can get. I personally would love to see him at Rice and being selected as the Houston area Outstanding HS QB would certainly give him greater over g TV exposure to college coaches. As his HS coach back in CA told him after his freshman season, he is a generational QB talent. I just want him to reach his full potential in college. It will be interesting to see which gear I buy in the next few months. Thanks to all who can and will cast as many votes as possible until voting closes on 12/27.

Voted for Montana.

To be fair, there’s a lot of good QBs on that list so I also voted for Mr. Wells.

Plus, just had to put in a vote for that kid from Magnolia.

He’s in the top 15 early on.
Appears to have around 52 votes of the approximately 4560 cast so far. (1.14%)

Also I saw ru’s kid on this list, so I voted for that guy too.

“Please no software voting and no bots allowed”.

Readers are allowed to cast Multiple votes, however.

Done, done, done & done.

It's going to take a tremendous, dedicated & concerted effort to move him up from 1.43 percent into contention.

Agreed, but attention is attention.

That said, at 6'5 220+ and reasonable mobility (though clearly still a pocket guy) he is the prototypical pocket guy that Bloom seems to want and not the 'dual threat' guy that most other places seek right now. Tom Brady not Michael Vick. His mobility comes from the fact that he hasn't always been especially tall for his age so like a lot of bug guys who can move like say David Robinson, he learned to play the game being abut the same size as everyone else... and now is 4-6 inches taller than most.

The initial message implies "vote early, vote often".
The web page warns against bots.
Voting a bunch is something this retired person can do.
It won't disqualify?

Keep it up!! Montana's risen to 1.97 percent (13th place). The two top leaders are at 16.92 and 15.33 percent.

UPDATE: Now he's up to 2.13 percent (12th place). Each vote at this time adds about 0.02 percentage points. (Important: After each "vote" ... you have to then scroll back up and solve a simple math addition question before the vote is actually counted. I didn't see this the first few times I thought I was voting.)

If you are really clicking then the web site host is getting actual credit for web clicks and I’m confident you should be good.

If they keep asking me different math questions I’ll keep voting. I majored in this !!! Fun!

I am methodically rotating through the six browsers on my laptop, but not really closing on the leader.
Each cycle is good for roughly 0.1
I estimate I'll have to go through 200 cycles of 6 votes, and I'm falling asleep at my keyboard.
And that's assuming that the leader does not get more votes.
We need a lot more people contributing.
Let's see if I can get The MOB to help out...

Seventh place now.
Should we repost ruowl's plea in the "Let's Be Honest..." Facebook group?
There's a LOT of readers of that.
