That’s what I was thinking unless it’s a Randy Moss scenario but even then vast majority of schools have eased up on such things.

Edit: Just looked at Marshall’s past 5 classes. They’ve had plenty of high 3 stars but no 4 or 5 stars listed per 247 out of high school.

There looks to be one or two former 4 stars one from Oregon State and the other from Penn State that transferred into Marshall. Maybe he’s talking about one of those two. Regardless, no 5 stars listed anywhere on 247.

Also just landed Owen McCown a few minutes ago. Sarted at Colorado as a freshman but had no place after Deion brought his son with him to play QB.

The 4 star from Maryland is also a 3 star and the 3 star from Georgia state is a 2 star. Haven’t found the others.

Are those ratings now, or ratings when they originally committed? Pretty much everyone's transfers from P5s are 4-5 star kids that didn't end up being 4-5 star players.
