Our current ratings on 247 show #72 overall but that is with just 11 commits. If you look at our average rating of 87.59 that puts us closer to a top 40/30 class if we held that average generally with more commits. Here's how we currently stack up against the B12 next season...

3 Texas [22/92.82]
8 Oklahoma [24/91.43]
18 TCU [23/88.74]
23 Texas Tech [25/87.77]
29 Kansas St [26/86.53]
31 Baylor [21/87.46]
39 West Virginia [19/86.85]
42 Iowa St [22/86.63]
52 UCF [14/87.41]
61 Oklahoma St [17/85.97]
63 Houston [15/86.44]
71 BYU [15/85.25]
72 Cincinnati [11/87.59]
75 Kansas [12/85.96]

Honestly, between our 2023 class and transfers we did better than I expected given the fact CSS and the staff had only about two weeks to hit the ground running.

The entire state of Wisconsin does not match what Cincy has to offer.

Honestly, between our 2023 class and transfers we did better than I expected given the fact CSS and the staff had only about two weeks to hit the ground running.

This is exactly where my head's at. With just two weeks before signing day, there was no way Satterfield would have filled up a class with 20-25 players. It was just never in the cards. But, for this first signing day at least, he opted for quality over quantity, getting players with an average rating of 87.59, which is higher than each of Fickell's last three classes.

The focus now is for the staff to grab some impact receivers, maybe a tight end, and more linemen (Satterfield specifically noted OT as a priority in the portal). In the current environment, UC is certainly capable of filling those needs with high quality players out of the portal by the next signing day.

This transition was always going to be rocky, we UC fans who've lived through this for the past two decades can attest to that more than anyone. I wasn't expecting Satterfield and his staff to make a big splash but overall I'd give them a B+ in terms of keeping the existing roster relatively stable, signing a good portion of the existing commitments, and adding pieces via the portal/Louisville transfers/Louisville's commits.
