This might be the best roster of QBs we've had in who knows how long. AJ has played well, TJ had a lot of upside even though he turned the ball over a lot, and now we have a former 5 star!?! Considering how often our QBs get injured its very nice to have a lot of reliable options. Hopefully Itraish can develop more, we need as many options as possible given our luck with QB injuries

Also fun note that our quarterbacks are AJ, TJ, JT. Lots of J's

I'm in shock. We also pulled via the transfer portal over the past 2 days and OL from Nebraska and a JUCO TE who's caught 9 TD passes in the last 2 years.

It's being reported by ESPN has the highest rated recruit ever by Rice. If both Rozner and McCaffrey come back we could have quite the potent passing attack next year-- the best since Clemens/Thor/Dillard.

I wonder (hope) if he knows something about our OL future that we don't. I would think a pocket passer would prefer, well, a pocket?

Who couldn’t actually see the field at Nebraska. Not sure he’ll help us at all.

Doesn't necessarily mean he'll beat them. It can push all our quarterbacks to play better and be competitive. When we got Luke Mccaffrey at QB he didn't just come in and steal Wiley's spot despite being the highest ranked recruit we'd ever gotten at the time. They shared time in our first game against Arkansas.

Yes, he is a talent. But there's a reason (or many reasons) why Rice will make 4 schools in 6 years for him. And worse, this appears to be just the latest in a series of transfers necessitated because Bloomgren and is staff cannot seem to develop a quarterback internally.

I don’t recall a season under Bloomgren where we haven’t played multiple QBs due to injury, poor play or both. I don’t expect that to change in 2023, but hopefully it does

Unexpected but welcome news. Bloomgren has my attention again. The 2023 home schedule with Houston, SMU, Tulane, East Carolina, Florida Atlantic, Connecticut, and Texas Southern is very attractive.
