for me. UCA at home, ASU on the road, and then all the OVC games. For the most part, the previous games are meaningless. The chances of getting an at-large bid from the OVC are close to nil. Getting better than a 16 or 15 seed are negligible. Have we improved? The next two games should help answer that question as well as if we are the worst DI team in the State. Our goals every year should include beating UCA and ASU, as well as UAPB if we play them. They should also include a top 4 finish in the league and getting to the championship game in the tournament. Let the chips fall as they may, if we get there. We need to show something tonight or it will likely be a long season.

Speaking of UAPB, it makes no sense not to play them. Yes, they may beat us. So what? They are 45 minutes away, so the travel costs are nothing. When they play here, they might bring a few fans which is extra money in our pockets. Whether it's UCA, ASU, or UAPB there should be some promotion of those games to try to make them "rivalry" games that fans of both teams care about. There is certainly no team in the OVC that will ever become a rival at the level that ASU has been for 30 years or so.

Well we got the win. Arguably our best performance as a team. Still need to work on our shooting but there were signs of improvement. If we win @ASU, then we should have good momentum for conference play.

Nice win against an OVC level team. Myron Gardner is a really good player. A win at Jonesboro would be really nice, but it is always tough to win there. We keep winning our home games, we will be fine in the league, but we need to show we can win occasionally on the road.

A win at ASU (I'm certainly not counting on it) would really improve the mood around here. No idea what the "real" number was, but last night's attendance was the best we have had in quite a while. With the pandemic seeming to wane, people are looking for reasons to get out a do things. We give them a good reason, maybe they will find their way to the Stephens Center.

I definitely agree with your point about attendance. Winning will get them there every time. Hope we can see that moving forward. I am trying to remain positive.
