22-9 Rice at the U16. Jarvis Christian not doing much defending and Rice not missing much.

31-17 Rice at the U12. Scoring obviously not an issue. Not been great defensively. Seems more like a lack of focus thing than anything, which isn't all too unusual when playing non-D1 teams.

Lewis once again getting an earful from Pera, this time for trying to run a fastbreak and turning it over. Second straight game (the earful not the reason)

Still playing way above what previous teams had done at times against similar opponents. I’m encouraged by the way the non starters have played recently. We appear deeper and with less fall off than in previous years.

56-34 Rice at the half. Hopefully we get some of the bench guys extended run in the 2nd half.

62-47 Rice. 13-6 JCU to start the half. Nothing too worrisome. We're basically just missing all our shots, despite getting good looks.

78-51 Rice. Making shots again and defensive intensity got a little bit better since JCU made it close.

Rice wins 109-64. JCU got it to 64-51 and then we outscored them 45-13. Very balanced scoring. Six guys with over 10 points, three other guys with 5 points or more. 30 assists on 43 made baskets, which is what we're hoping for on offense.

Nice close out by the reserves. Have been impressed since the Texas State game and we will see if that holds over the next two road conference games.

Doubt we’ve ever had back to back 100s before. Certainly not 219 in two.

Back from the game - I'd say we're definitely playing at a higher level than earlier in the year. Hopefully it carries over to the conference games.

Owls get a nice break now - the team gets a few days off for Christmas.

Rice got in the rhythm of their offense early and hit their first several shots and by the 16 minute mark they had 20+ points. It set the tone for the game overall and the outcome was never in much doubt, even when JC made their run in the 2nd half.

Seryee Lewis had his best game as an Owl overall (13 points) and Fiedler continues to make significant impact as the director of their high post offense. Pera pulled Q and other starters early and got the bench some more minutes, especially Geron, who responded with a strong 2nd half in particular. I thought this was Travis Evee’s best game, he is a nice complementary player (just like Cameron) that forces the opposition to game plan for him/them and allowing Max and Q to exploit their one on one opportunities.

I am looking forward to the conference part of the schedule in January. Hoping for the best and enjoying the success so far.
