These Redhawks are Jekyll and Hyde. They go as Tyson goes. If it wasn't for FT's from Tyson and Schumaker today this would be an ugly game.

Yeah, not too upset by losing to Utah St and Iona though. Think SU is still a top 5 WAC team.

I think so too. I’d put Seattle, Utah Valley, Grand Canyon, NMSU and Sam Houston as the likely top 5 finishers at this point, but who knows the order.

There are still a couple of teams I’ve only seen a bit of, so hard to gauge. But right now, it doesn’t look as though SFA or Abilene Christian will live up to the first place votes unless they really turn their seasons around. And Cal Bap isn’t playing like a team that will finish in the top half of the league IMO.

I could see SUU finishing higher, possible being around 5th, but I haven’t watched a lot of them yet. And I could see Utah Tech much higher, near the top half.

Just a refresher, this is the preseason coaches poll. Fun to take a look at just before the league race starts. I definitely don’t see Seattle, Utah Valley and SH finishing in 6, 7, and 8th!

1. Grand Canyon (8) 135

2. NM State (3) 127

3. Stephen F. Austin 111

4. Abilene Christian (1) 101

5. California Baptist (1) 96

6. Seattle U 91

7. Utah Valley 85

8. Sam Houston 79

9. Southern Utah 66

10. Tarleton 47

11. UT Arlington 31

12. Utah Tech 29

13. UTRGV 16

Seattle, Utah Valley and Sam Houston should all finish in the top 5, unfortunately I believe we were correctly prognosticated

Good to see Seattle get the win against GW.

I like these “normal” old style tournaments where you play 3 games, and have the brackets that play out. In the 4 team tournaments where you play 2 games, it might be a “multi team event” but that isn’t really a tournament.

Yeah, love the 8 team tournaments; especially when they’re on a good channel and not FloSports or something.
