Their fans probably didn't realize it at the time, but the consecutive 1 point losses to Bellarmine, Wright State and Appalachian State to start the season, were as good as it gets. They lost the next 6 games by an average of 25 points. The closest loss was by 19 points.
They have fans seriously talking about going 0-32. They have 3 non-conference opponents left - Western Kentucky, Florida A&M and Lipscomb. If they can't win any of those, it's hard to imagine them beating anybody in the ACC. Florida A&M is #359 in KenPom so I'd say that's a must-win.

Apparently, this is all part of building something special. True fans understand this. Hahaha
Prior to being blown out by 1-9 FSU:
“I want true Louisville fans," he said. "I want a fan that understands that the reality of the situation. I know it's impossible. ... I want the fan, the true Louisville fan, the ones that truly know, that's a part of the process of building something special. It's going through the hard days, or going through the hard times, and never wavering in how your support is for the university.”

I guess Louisville will be in the "also receiving votes" category for the top 25 on Monday...

I think that Coach Payne is correct-- he is building it the right way! {they should stick with him 4 or 5 years, at least, and they will have a powerhouse!
