Same deal different day. Seems like ole DW's teams always get outworked on the boards and can't hit the side of a barn from downtown. This season is going to be another dumpster fire.

I haven't been as pessimistic as you, but I'm quickly getting there. Once Jacksonville State pulled ahead the outcome was never in doubt. I assume they are comparable to most OVC teams. I guess the only positive I can come up with is that we haven't lost a home game. Of course, we haven't played anybody either. A loss to UCA, next Tuesday, would change that and make the chances of a somewhat decent season appear extremely unlikely.
Noticed Roy Harper was their coach and took them to the NCAA's last season. We were rumored to be looking at him a few years back. Can't remember if it was before we hired Beard or after he left. To be honest, I would rather have hired him than Beard. Harper would probably been successful here, built a solid program, and not left after a season or 2. Who knows, the Sun Belt may have kept us, if we were winning, or the MoValley may have considered us. Hiring Beard, in a weird way, was a disaster for our program. One fantastic season, and then worst stretch for Little Rock basketball, in our DI history, with no indication that it will get better any time soon. While we can't blame Beard for decisions made in Little Rock, he did push us to hire Wes and I believe didn't leave us with a lot when he left.

He shouldn't have pushed for Wes as he was clearly not qualified for D1 head coach or maybe not even D2 or NAIA.
I am sick of losing and ready for something to get excited about with this program. If he isn't out at the end of the year and we have a 10 or 12 win season, that will be proof that the administration does not care about the program.
