While they return a lot of LB's -who as a group have a lot of pt and starting experience (probably need to trim some fat in that room), transfers Wendell Davis (Northwestern/Michigan State) and Gavin Potter (Kansas) should be strong candidates to start for them. Their addition , while not as big as adding the four transfers in the OL, is a huge plus for their defense, and they may not be through there.

According to AStateNation, A-State added a talented CB from the FCS ranks who enrolled yesterday. Was reported on The Densider , so not on the public forum, and there has been nothing made public so will not mention the players name but was well recruited, and should contribute immediately.

As far as a mid-term Portal addition at QB, one of their top prospects-former Boise St QB Hank Bachmeier, chose LaTech.

As far as players departing, yesterday was the last day for players to enter the portal. The school has three days to get the paperwork in, so not sure if any A-State players entered the Portal. Regardless it is expected some will enter the Portal when the window opens again.

Unlike last year when they lost so many players expected to be key contributors in 2022 , they have faired very well this go around and have added some much needed talent and maturity at positions where they were needed.
