Super interesting that we have not seen a flood of UC players follow him to UW, at least not yet.

Would it surprise anyone if he doesn't necessarily rate his former players as b10/p5 good but rather just g5 elite? Of the players that still have eligibility, the one that everyone seems to think will end up in madison is Jake Renfro but you probably wouldn't take anyone else from our OL.

if you are a skill player you're probably going to want to see who is going to be passing you the ball (Mertz is transferring).

i'm more inclined to believe that he'd be re-recruiting some of the top commits to wisky rather than poaching from a g5 (which is the outside perception).

I honestly have no ***** to give about what he does in that frigid desolate wasteland north of Chicago.

Coach Satt needs to do everything in his power to slow the Cincy to Wisc pipeline, just as Fick did his best to stop the flow of Cincy to ND, OSU, UofL and UK pipeline. (yes hiring Coombs was a good start)

I will be stunned if Henry does not end up at OSU.

For a lot of Ohio high school recruits, it will take more than Fickell to lure them to Wisconsin if OSU shows up to court them. If Fickell was frustrated getting a foot in the door with some locally while at UC, he may find more of the same with the Badgers.

Fick:

A gig I coveted was given to a former assistant who got on the fast track to coach a big time program. He's got a dream job while I'm stuck in Clifton losing high talent recruiting battles, no permanent indoor practice facility and I'm about to coach closer to .500 in the New Big 12. I better get out on the first train to the biggest job I can get in the coaching musical chairs game. My earnings potential and coaching career is at its highest trajectory. Loyalty to yo primero and to mi familia. The time is now.
