He was good for a while there.
He exploited the goodwill of refs with chop-blocking schemes.
And he took advantage of the Navy prep academy to recruit big 40+ player classes, then weeded them out before they got to the service academy.
He had chances to move on years ago, but stayed there.
oh well

You sure are a ray of sunshine lol

He should have thrown the ball ... Maybe 10-15 times a game. Just wasn't his game.

lol - didn't mean to be a downer on Ken and Navy.
Nothing personal against them, just seems like another "oh well" moment in college fb.
I stand behind everything I said - and especially so on the chop blocking and refs looking the other way.

He was fired in the locker room after the army loss. Rough.

Ken Niumatalolo, who helmed the Midshipmen for 15 seasons and became the winningest coach in Navy’s program history, was reportedly sitting alone in the locker room after the game on Saturday when the school’s athletic director Chet Gladchuk walked in and told him he was fired.

It’s really difficult to throw that much with the undersized line he had. Their size wasn’t a product of recruiting, rather the height/ weight standards the middies have to maintain.

To fire someone like that, who did what he did there, in the locker room, is a POS.

Just do it the next day damn.

He quit beating Army and wasn’t competitive with Air Force, that is what cost him his job
