SFA wins at La Tech on a beautiful coast to coast drive layup. La Tech guys either weren’t expecting it or afraid to foul.

RE: 2022-23 WAC MBB Week #6
This is our promised return trip to Bakersfield after they came out to play us in Abilene last year. We came out on top 69-59 in that game. Even though we are younger this year, we seem to be finding our rhythm as we prepare for conference play. Anything can happen, but I like our chances if we keep playing the way we are.

St Marys waxed the floor with us last night. I don’t even remember the score and I don’t want to relive the pain of looking it up. Whatever it is, trust me, it wasn’t that close. We got some serious individual talent on this team but our coach really needs to step it up and get these guys playing as a team. Right now we look like a mid-tier WAC team.

I’ll remind you! It was 81-68. Don’t worry CubanB, if you want to cheer for a winning basketball program in this lowly conference, SHSU is always taking more fans. We only have 200 as is!

There’s not a lot of time before conference play starts. Our team’s performance has been so up and down so far it’s been very underwhelming. We have the capability of beating anyone in the WAC but also the capability of losing to anyone in the WAC. But I guess we kinda did that last year too. Freakin Chicago St

Congrats to both. I am glad the other WAC schools are doing good since we can't seem to find a way to beat our way out of a brown paper bag

So far ACU is just playing embarrassing against CSUB, trailing 31-15 at the half.

After a horrendous start, ACU comes back and outscores CSUB 50-28 to win 65-59.

During half of the Aggies, I’m checking out RGV. They look good starting off. I hope it gets ugly versus HCBCU. Good to see Pia Zadora being successful after the move.
In the other game, Seattle is down to Alcorn at the half, but I’m sure they will come back strong after the break.

I watched most of the second half. Man, Alcorn’s coach is a mouthy one lol. Glad Seattle got the win and didn’t fall victim to one of those deceptive teams who come in with a terrible record but have played mostly good teams. I don’t know if that’s Alcorn but it’s true for many SWAC teams.
The RGV game was well in hand last I saw and it ended up being a 10 point game. I believe it may have been around a 25 point lead at one point.

Final score 100-90. Still worried about how points we're allowing by weak opponents, like 80 by Southwest Christian. But there's no question things are way better than last year, not just the wins but also players who look like they actually like being here.

There’s a difference between playing loose versus a weaker opponent and simply playing bad, or little defense. I t haven’t watched enough RGV yet this season to know which it might be.

Is this the year you guys take down NMSU? We are looking a little shaky.
