Better start picking up the phones and talking to people. We could at least get the Convo to be renamed to the Bar S Center.

I'd be willing to donate to any capital fundraising projects if they would just actually come out and announce one. I'm sure many others would too. But until you put something forth to the public the administration can't complain that they have no money to do facility improvements.

Same with the baseball stadium. Come out and fundraise specifically for it (rather than just a generic line item during the week of Huskies Invest). Give a specific amount for each enhancement to be made. Field lighting for night games, new video/scoreboard, concession stand with bathrooms, outfield turf, etc. Even if it takes multiple years to fundraise for all the enhancements they would at least be fundraising.

Instead, it's just been dead silent for many years now...

The baseball stadium had marketing printed out on a single sheet of paper that was taped to a light pole outside of the friendly confines.

This.

I would be more than willing to up donation for something specific. The last time they have one for the Chessick center I believe and wasn't really in a position yet to be able to donate something worth while. Now I would be open to. I've said it a few times now, what is the worst that happens with a fundraiser? You don't hit your goal, so be it, but you tried.

RE: In Defense of Coach Hammock and AD Frazier
About four years ago I posted a suggestion here that they do that for Huskie Stadium ... break the overall project down and market/promote to that item or a list of items, with updates of how much is raised for each. Went nowhere, which even if the A.Dept. acknowledged the Dog Pound's existence, doesn't surprise me. Never forget this is an internalist regime.

I'd be interested too in specific projects. But as said, they just slap it on the Huskies Invest list (and never issue progress reports).

I would also like to see a fundraiser to complete the east side of the Convo lobby. An aerial will show the gap that was left in 2002.
