Lady Monarchs put a beat down on VCU last night. If you want to watch some solid WBB, watch the 3rd quarter of this game. That might of been the best 10 minutes of Lady Monarch basketball I've seen in the Ted in years.

They can rot. Bunch of clowns cancel our series, pick up a buy game from Jacksonville, and then lose on their home court to them. They aren't any better than we are right now, no matter how much they might wish for it.

I agree... that 3rd quarter was incredible, on both ends of the court. The fact it was against VCU made it even sweeter

Sorry, I guess my SARCASM wasn't obvious enough. However, you made my point exactly...we aren't worthy of them playing us in MBB and we just accept it and are willing to continue to play them in every other sport where the deem us acceptable. SCREW them and the horse they rode in on.

Wrong. We don't play them in football either.

Agreed that 3rd qtr was some of the best Defense I've seen in a while. The help D was awesome and just about every shot was contested. Active hands in the passing lanes, getting on the floor for loose balls. Wow, as a fan who love defense I was so proud of them. Now, we just need to put together 40mins like that. Which won't be easy. It's hard to keep up that type of intensity for 40 mins.

I hope everybody comes out tomorrow, but NSU has a very good team this year and the Lady Monarchs Feed off the 6th man.

The reality is the VCU men’s basketball program is far superior to ours.

Unfortunately, VCU has had greater success than ODU has the last several years. Maybe that will change one of these days and the programs will be on different paths relative to one another than they have been. It hasn't always been this way.

For what is is worth, our NET ranking right now is 24 spots ahead of VCU:

And again, none of other sports care that VCU won't play MBB.

That is good. Still hard to believe there are 5 teams in the top 100 and none of them are ODU or GSU. The good news is beating those teams should help our NET quite a bit. The bad news is, it still probably wouldn't get us in the NIT realm, and beating them is no guarantee either.
