I present to you one of the greatest rants in the history of AState Radio. One of our local radio personalities absolutely rails on the Men's basketball program after losing to UCA yesterday, and then starts in on the entire Athletic Department.

Starts at the 1 hour 7 minute mark.

We're 2-4 against D1 teams this year with a loss to UCA and a SWAC school. We have no shooters whatsoever. Fans have largely given up.

If this isn't the lowest point for basketball, we've got to be close to it. Even in the years where football stunk back in the 90's, we could at least count on basketball to be pretty decent.

And without even listening to this I can say ULM fans definitely say “hold my beer Redwolves”. Really like Richard and he has had some good times, but it is past time for him to go. Maybe if we ever get our new AD that will happen this year.

For what feels like the last 5–7 years, I’ve been saying stAte is due in Football during the preseason. Sooner or later they’ll be back to their standards.

Arkansas and Louisiana have similar population numbers, yet there's only two FBS schools in Arkansas compared to five in LA. I know Cajun fans always lament the steep hill we have to climb in our state, but stAte seems like should have more resources for success.

Hmmm...

Thank God for baseball for USM in that same time frame. We are finally shaking off the cobwebs caused by terrible hires in football and MBB. WBB is not going to progress until we move on from a legacy hire that has not produced any real success in nearly 20 seasons.

I get you point, but you can’t compare the HS talent between the two states. It’s not even close.

There's very few NFL prospects churned out of Arkansas, And usually the few we get are significantly better than everyone else, so they end up getting tons of SEC offers.

Arkansas just doesn't have very many tweener guys, who could be really good, but need more development.

When you have to bring in other schools as affiliate members just to have a league, you can't begin to put soccer as a "big" sport.
