Loudoun County Has at Long Last Fired Its School Superindendent
Quote:Loudoun County, Virginia, has been the epicenter of the parent-led revolution that has been sweeping the country over the past two years, with leftist school boards finally being held to account for their woke agendas. Loudoun County’s public school superintendent, Scott Ziegler, took things even further by putting schoolchildren in physical danger when he allowed a sexual predator to remain enrolled in the school system despite many warning signs that the student might be violent. That male student went on to assault two girls on school property, crimes that were hidden from Loudoun County parents.

A scathing grand jury report on these assaults — and Ziegler’s willful incompetence — was released yesterday. RedState’s Bonchie had the details about the lunacy in Loudoun:

As RedState reported back in 2021, the school board there covered up the rape of two women there by a boy who dressed and used the girls’ restroom.

Astonishingly, the liberal prosecutor in the area actually went after the father of one of the rape victims for attempting to speak out about the ordeal at a school board meeting. Prior to that, he was beaten and arrested by the local police. In the end, the boy who committed the two rapes was found guilty and received a slap on the wrist.

For his role in allowing two girls to be sexually assaulted at school, and keeping parents in the dark about what happened, Scott Ziegler has finally been fired by the county school board. The grand jury determined that “The district was looking out for its own interests instead of the best interests of its students and that the school system ‘failed at every juncture.'”

Here’s a brief timeline of the events that led to Ziegler’s firing:

May 28, 2021 — Male sexual predator, who wore a skirt and used the girls’ bathroom, assaults female student in bathroom at high school.

May 28, 2021 — Ziegler makes the Loudoun school board aware of the assault.

June 2021 — Ziegler and school board members deny sexual assault occurred on school property at school board meeting. At this meeting, Ziegler tells the parents assembled that “The predator transgender student or person simply does not exist” and “We don’t have any record of assaults occurring in our restrooms.”

Father of first sexual assault victim is arrested at the meeting when demanding answers. The father is now being prosecuted by Buta Biberaj, the George Soros-back commonwealth’s attorney.

August 2021 — Male sexual predator, now under investigation by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office and wearing an ankle monitor, is allowed to attend a different county high school.

October 2021 — Male sexual predator, now at new school, pulls a female student into an empty classroom and sexually assaults her.

While all of this was going on, Scott Ziegler and the school board repeatedly engaged in coverups, hid the truth from parents, and failed to keep students safe in their own schools. Political agendas and obfuscation were put ahead of student safety. The grand jury found a “stunning lack of openness, transparency and accountability, both to the public and to the special grand jury” on the parts of Zeigler and the school board in dealing with the assaults.

Firing Scott Ziegler is a good first step at making things right in Loudoun County. It should have been done immediately after he lied about the first assault. Any school board member that was at the June 2021 meeting also needs to be shown the exit. Charges need to be dropped against the first victim’s father, whose only offense was wanting answers about what happened to his daughter under the watch of school leaders.

One thing is clear here: Parents are winning. Accountability is happening. Now is not the time to back down.
