You stupid schools need to remember: ugly is skin deep, but dumb goes to the bone. Maybe someone will read this to you.

JMU gets four stars for athletics.

And our girls are hot, but not easy. That’s why it’s important to be smart. They are wiley lasses.

There's no deeper meaning here.

Then call it football.

Fixed so there's no more confusion. I think in the game it was simply athletics, but it is a football game so you know what's up.

Can see how people get confused.

Ah gotcha, I see what you're doing... Although I gotta say some of the ratings including JMU make even less sense now!

Can't wait for there to be an NCAA Football game again, and hopefully basketball. I always have absurdly low expectations for anything from EA though so fingers crossed.

It will never be as good as NCAA Football 2006.

There hasn't been a good Madden since the PS2 era.

You don't get it.

Again, this pertains to football only

I just took an academic star away for lack of JMU fan reading comprehension.

Yeah, y'all got penalized pretty heavily for not being either an R1 or R2 institution, as well as ranking #12 out of 14 in the latest US News stuff...

LOL it off, its all super cereal stuff here.

OMFG, how many different ways are you going to try to milk an R1 or R2 classification into a post pimping Marshall academics? There are LOTS of non-Research classified schools that are way better and way harder to get into than Marshall, including App St. Let it go.

2Buck, Rileylives wasn't really taking any of this seriously. If you really want to know where you stand in academics, use the ARWU Shanghai ratings. Now those are the real deal, IMO

A system that ranks ODU above Lehigh is the real deal? Their metrics must value lead levels in the campus water supply.

You're right, some of us just aren't seeing the silly fun in all this. Forthwith, I submit my own star ratings:

You are ranked as a regional university last I checked.

The one thing that is indisputable about this thread is that Louisiana leads the entire SBC. The fact that we are R1 and they are R2 is the tie breaker, as if one is even needed.

You believe that offering less than 10 phd programs provides an overall better quality education from an undergraduate perspective.

When you compare the admission standards it's pretty evident.
