You are misinformed. I ate there tonight. Bozo’s is a great BBQ restaurant, and is 100 years old. They did have a period 15 or 20 years back when they had poor management and thus food that was not that great.

However, the last couple of owners have brought it to the excellent standard we have all come to expect. I have been eating there for over 75 years and I will stack it up against any of the Johnny-come-lately barebecue joints in Memphis.

Remember this one piece of advice from an old BBQ eating guy - if a restaurant has to put barbecue sauce on their meat before they serve it to you, they are trying to hide something.

Their fried catfish was fantastic and I kept going back specifically for that. I haven’t been back in years since but I think it’s time for a road trip.

Like I said -I havent been there in years --but back in the day some MEMPHIANS used to make the trip for it occasionally ---it was one of the best----I need to visit it again

Good to hear they have gotten better than the last time I visited about 15 years ago. I'm familiar with their history. A friend of mines mother worked ther back in the 60's-70's. Mrs Cottam.

Looks like that will turn out to be a great investment on their part. I expect that little restaurant is about to get busier with the new Ford plant about five miles away.
