RE: Coaching Rumors/Moves
The VT head coaching job was the hardest possible job to walk into.

Justin Fuente followed a guy who was:

a) local
b) an alum
c) the first coach in VT history who had real success while being saddled with zero expectations
d) fortunate enough to have a very good DC who had no higher ambitions and was content to stay at Tech until he retired

Fuente comes in, and he's the anti-Beamer. Not local, not an alum, handled a world of unrealistic expectations. He does keep Bud Foster for a little while, but Bud's checked out mentally.

So he has some success at first, and then reality sets in. He's fired and leaves the cupboard bare.

Tech is starting from zero. Is Pry the guy to catch lightning in a bottle twice?

It took UNC basketball two tries after Dean Smith left. Coach Gutt was in over his head, and Matt Doherty was a psychopath. In comes Roy.

Who's VT's Roy Williams? Is it Shane Beamer?

Speaking of Beamer, he has some issues to deal with:

The warrant states that as officers waited for Rose to answer the door, he threw the rifle out of a window and into a common area. It added, "Two associates of Rose can be seen retrieving the rifle from the common area and one is concealing it in his pants."

Is that an AR-15 in your pants or are you just happy to see me?
