This is a publicity bonanza. Barring Stache-like box scores this will be a net positive.

That’s also why even though he’s infuriating Rome is the most important stop for all these guys-he will bring out something in the conversation that everyone else misses. He’s incredibly engaging.

You mean like AK outlining his COVID hiring? Or getting back to the Bartow Standard lol? Lot of repetition but I can't help but listen haha. And you're spot on, most people aren't listening to every show, usually just one or two.

His target audiences are 1) Recruits 2) HS coaches 3) Media.

We haven't gotten this much publicity since death/return of football. Being on all these national shows is HUGE

Just listened to the Cublic/McElroy interview. Wow. I didn’t understand a lot of the jargon, but I love the scope of what he’s going to try to do. Maybe the best thing was he didn’t try to dumb it down for folks like me

I am getting pumped and yes I’m taking big drinks of the kool aid

I told my girlfriend last night:
"Bill Clark needed our entire program to be cut to get this much attention. Trent Dilfer just had to be hired."

I don't mean that necessarily as a slight to BC - just highlighting the contrast of personality and brand between the two coaches.

What I liked was that Greg McElroy being engaged by Trent. I don't listen to that show a whole lot, but it's definitely the JOX show I listen to the most, and I can't think of another time I've heard Greg that interested in what the guest was saying. He's typically an SEC elitist, but something about Dilfer being on there got him buzzing and he was really hyping up UAB in that segment. I liked that one as well because I thought CTF was a bit more grounded than Rome's interview, but I get that when you're on national radio you need to make stuff happen.

If y'all haven't seen it, Dilfer was on the Rusillo show too. Clearly he was making decent use of his commuting time from Bham to Mobile.
