RE: Are you happy in CUSA?
I believe the hate for liberty comes from the fact that Falwell and liberty were born from televangelism. There is and are a lot of hypocrisy in the accumulation of money from little ole ladies social security.

The university is in the process of making some changes. But it will take awhile to distance from the stigma of the past in many eyes.
It is when you have to use proper spelling and grammar to make an effective query.
Sorry, couldn't help that one. lol

What did the Falwell family do? And why LU receive so much hate?

Wait, I thought we got our money from being a "diploma mill?" Now you're telling me we got it from scamming little old ladies. I can't keep up here. I'll definitely give you points for that one. Touché my friend, touché!

It's going to be great basketball and I think football has much more potential than people realize. My plan is to get YouTubeTV so I can get CBSSN and ESPNU and watch a lot of CUSA football. I'm hoping the CUSA teams win a lot of their non conference games. That:s what will help the conference more than anything. I think the current CUSA has a lot of potential.
I cut the cord and went with YoutubeTV a few months ago. I love it.

One quote from a GREAT story today in THE ATHLETIC by Chris Vannini.
It may or may not be behind a pay wall. Please read if you can--a fantastic overall look at things!

Diploma mill is what’s continuing the revenue streams today. Scamming old ladies was what got the school started. Just to clarify lol.

What did the Falwell family do? And why LU receive so much hate?
Falwell Sr. made some controversial statements in the past, but he has since passed away. However, his son, Falwell Jr., was widely regarded as even worse in many aspects. It seems like the entire school was influenced by Jr.'s ideologies, which I believe were detrimental to the university and overly political. Additionally, there were rumors of him struggling with alcoholism towards the end. Unfortunately, that's not the only issue. It came to light that Jr. had a questionable relationship involving his wife and a pool boy, whom they had invested money in using questionable methods. Once this scandal was exposed, Jr. was fired, marking the end of the Falwell era. Interestingly, many alumni who now claim to have disliked him actually supported him until his downfall. It's important to have open discussions about these matters and address them honestly. It's possible that my opinion might be in the minority, but it's crucial to shed light on these issues for the sake of transparency and growth.

Oh, okay. Thanks for bringing me up to speed. I’m going to have to make myself some cheat sheets on post-it notes to keep up with this stuff. lol

What!!!! You’re telling me that a Christian school is into traditional marriage! There’s no wonder people hate Liberty. It’s all beginning to make sense now. I think I’m going to have to go lie down for a little while.
