Players hook sliding
When they pick off a pass at the end, why not keep running to kill clock or even house it? Why not try to score on offense, ESPECIALLY if it puts game away?

RE: Players hook sliding
If you're up by zero to eight points, you run the risk of the game becoming a tie or loss if you turn the ball over. Better to let the offense do the ball handling. There may also be times where it is more advantageous NOT to score quickly, especially if the defense has been on the field for a long time.

RE: Players hook sliding
How often does a DB REALLY turn a pick BACK over?! I DEFINITELY understand playing to not lose vs playing to win. I guess I’m just more willing to risk events with infinitesimal odds of happening.
