I really hate that bright blue turf it makes it painfully difficult for me to watch. I'm bright colors sensitive and it hurts to look at.

I feel very confident with getting the win in this game.
They have a good qb, but had a not so great end to the season. I like EMU winning by 7.
Keys to a EMU victory...
1. Run Samson Run! I like our O-line in the cold weather in this game.
2. We will need a break out player offensively. Knue? Lassiter? Drummond? Jaylon Jackson? look for a big momentum shifting play.
3. I don't think they have an O-tackle that can stop Ramirez. this is his biggest stage for the draft and I think he comes away with a couple sacks.
Let's go Eagles!

Are we sure Jose is playing? If so, your comment is spot on, he will probably have a Malik Willis type game. As top secret as Creighton is, I would not doubt that Ramirez is already out for the bowl game.

Have there been any rumblings of him not playing? I haven't heard.

does anyone know what the payout is for this bowl game? I thought that I remember the MAC collects all earnings and divides them among bowl eligible teams. could be wrong. anyone know?

I believe the total payout is either 750 or 800k.

But I think it goes to the MAC and the MAC subsidizes teams based on their est. expenses (vs. net income).
We won't sell many tickets to sub-freezing Boise so the MAC will have to cover our butts or we take a big loss.
The question is: Will we break even on the game???

Man, what a bummer. I thought this (after team expenses) would net the school at least a half million.

I thought they divided all the bowl earnings up amongst all MAC schools, not just the bowl teams.

A lot needs to go right for MAC schools to make money off of bowl season. One huge variable is getting a team into an NY6 game (a la WMU 2016) so that the conference kitty is big.

Don't we get ESPN $$$ or does that go to the MAC as well and get parsed out. I'm cool if the only advantage is exposure for the school and recruits but I'm pissed we don't get some cash as well for the athletic dept.

It's nice to know that the Pride of the Peninsula will be flying out to Boise.

Essentially all of the monies from bowls, ESPN media rights, NCAA basketball tourney funnel thru the conference and are divided among member.

RE: Potato Bowl
One week away!
The weather forecast is now up to 24 degrees and mostly sunny, heat wave!
Has anyone heard anything about Smith? Either way I'm hoping for Powell to get the majority of the snaps. If you look at our best offensive performances (WMU, CMU, second half of Kent State) it has come with Powell at the helm. If Smith is healthy, I wouldn't mind running a few packages for him, but hopefully its Powell for around 95% of the snaps. Looking at their last two losses SDSU was able to put up 43 points throwing for 268 yards and Utah State put up 35 throwing for 244. Evans will be there either way, but Powell will give us that passing threat.

I have a feeling this game may be our first bowl win under CC.

Everything I've heard says he will play. This is a chance for him to make a statement before declaring for the NFL draft.
