That ECU has looked like absolute garbage since the Cincy loss. A month or so ago this would have been a really interesting matchup.

At least we've got that going for the both of us! It's surreal how we lose our coach to archrival Liberty only to end up playing another nemesis in the bowl game. Best of luck, Pirates, it should be one of the more entertaining match-ups this season...

I don't even know what staff will be present other than Chad Staggs.

As a fan of the one and done at stAte...we sometimes he's coaching in bowls. Its a really tough situation but if someone does well you will eventually lose your coach and here you are. Its is more fun to be there with interior than not be there at all.

The whole staff other than Chadwell. Staggs is the interim HC for the game. Pretty much the whole staff is going to Liberty from what I heard, but will be coaching the bowl game. I hope the players get hyped for this game, but I’m not holding my breath. At this point, I wish we would’ve just stayed home and done the MB Bowl

This game could get ugly. Houston is a very good “big game” coach, and the stability he’s brought to ECU and Houston’s own ambitions (Mac Brown won’t coach forever) will mean the Pirates will be ready. On the other hand for CC, abandoned by its HC after back-to-back beat downs, a D that can’t seem to stop the pass, and an O (possibly) without its starting QB isn’t a formula for winning a bowl game.

East Carolina will never be in SB. The only conference ECU will leave for is a P5. The idea of them bolting the AAC for anything other is a silly joke.

You know what's not a joke though? The AAC potentially getting raided again and looking at SBC teams for possible additions.

Although most SBC teams don't have desirable markets the AAC would want there, is a few.

Georgia State (#7 Atlanta)
Texas State (#38 Austin)
Old Dominion (#46 Norfolk)

The AAC has locations not market share. Carryon.
