Terrible mess at QB. Rice has used 5 or 6 this year.

For the record, Bloom is record-wise the *worst* active coach in D1 having 5+ years under his belt. And, only the guy at Maryland has a worse active record at the current school and has 5+ years under his belt.

Im trying to get my wife to let me out of ranch chores for the trip. I roomed with a bunch of FB players when I was there and they are going to show up. Going to the AAC, Rice probably wont be back in a bowl for 10 years.

Its somewhat rough -- runs hot. Comes in at a 94 proof, when a normal bourbon is typically 80-85.

Their lowest offering is 105 in the store -- and not really sippable. A chunk is required to smooth it out. If I am paying sawbuck, I want my flipping toes to curl.

The trick is I have like 5 bottles of it. On a weekday, I go out and volunteer in the bottling, and instead of paying you they comp you bottle. And you get micro tastes every two hours, with breakfast and lunch. I have gotten to know the staff and management, and I get all sorts of malts and yeasts for my own personal beer setup.

I am giving the bottles to clients, who then think Im a sophisticated big spender.... lolz.

The best ones distilled here in the Hill Country are:

1) Rebecca Creek (Rebecca Creek Texas) --- little less than Woodford, and just as smooth.

2) Balcones Blue Corn (Waco) --- awesome stuff -- about 49-50 a bottle.

3) Andalusia Grain Whiskey Single Malt (between Johnson City and Blanco on 281) --- Ive never been a Scotch guy, but this is a peated whiskey that is awesome. about 60 a bottle.

If you can get any of those at your local -- do it. Highly recommended.

I've seen the Balcones Blue Corn or at least one of the Balcones..

I found a bottle of TX not long ago and quite enjoy it.. Not the blended whiskey (white cap) but the bourbon.
