Sooo… what’s the deal. Are y’all healthy? In good shape?

See post #25 above. How about you guys?

Two starting receivers have been out since mid season. Backup LB and DT (both are very good) have been out since the same time. Can't think of anyone else.

Among our starters, we're missing two Defensive Linemen, a Safety, two Offensive Tackles, RB, and one WR (was our leading receiver actually before he got hurt).

Also missing several 2-deep guys at several positions on offense and defense, most notably on the offensive line though which is why we're playing with a converted defensive lineman right now.

RE: #24 Troy vs #25 UTSA Cure Bowl
Getting the Cure bowl over Nola for this game is definetely a head scratcher. If you scroll down the schedule, this is literally the best bowl game all the way up to the 28th when the Alamobowl has Texas/Washington. And they gave it a Friday 3:00pm EST that’s not during winter break. It’s gonna destroy both attendance and viewership for a game with two conference champions.

I still think this matchup itself is 10/10. LOVE the matchup against Troy, just don’t like the bowl itself.

Cute got 1st pick this year and cure wanted us

Nola was 2nd pick…. Had we lost the CCG we might be in Nola.

I do like Orlando it’s a fun city especially if u like the parks like me… but the stadium sucks, and the date (for me anyway) sucks

Troy is about 1.5 hour from the Florida border, a lot of alumni and friends are in Florida so we should travel fairly well to it.

We will see, but I expect there to be more Troy peeps than UTSA I’d imagine.

Coach Jeff Traylor interview on Cure Bowl against Troy. Gives a lot of respect towards the Trojans.

Not a big deal really. For most schools that's the last day before Christmas break. Game starts when they would normally be at practice and nobody is going to be doing anything that day.

You're probably correct. We normally travel well to bowls, but this ridiculous Friday afternoon time will probably keep a lot of our fans from being able to make it. It'll be the first bowl game I'll miss.

This is indeed going to be a epic game.Literally the top two teams in the group of 5, group of 5’s first championship game. (Tulane is laughably overrated)

Good for the players to go visit the rat. I'm just not fired up about the date and time. I'm not even buying tickets (which I usually do even for a no show). I can't condone this date and time.
Not understanding the hate for a Friday game, especially for travel. The only tie-in we have that I'd say is better is Mobile. NOLA is a terrible midweek late kick. Birmingham is the day everyone goes back to work after Christmas (which kills travel). None of the games except Mobile have perfect start times/dates. Friday afternoon to a reasonably close destination with plenty to do over a long weekend is pretty good. And anyone who wants to watch it will find a way. Be if phones or leaving work after lunch. I'm actually just glad it's not Mobile or NOLA again.

ESPN has UTSA favored at 56.3%. Vegas lines still haven’t come out yet.

In the end I won't be able to go and it sucks. I tried to make it work but living as far away as I do but costs are pretty high + I have a work obligation I wasn't able to get out of on the Thursday night before the game.

Troy wins by 100. Kidding. This is the best bowl matchup I've seen in my time at Troy.
