Melvin Gordon replied to that on Instagram and said it’s basically common place for that conversation to happen. I doubt he’s running everybody off, just going to make the guys who want to be there be known.

Compared to the Ga Tech announcement video or even Dilfer in the UAB team room... that was a tepid reception for Deion in Colorado at best.

The difference is that Colorado sucks. Since 2006, they've only had 2 seasons that were .500 or better. They know they suck and Deion knows they suck...and he isn't pulling any punches about it. He will probably have to replace 75% or more of that roster and weed out bad apples fast.

Dilfer, on the other hand, knows we have a solid foundation and there are players here that just need to be given the right tools to succeed.

Totally different approach. Honestly, I prefer Dilfer's. But I think both will get the job done in their own ways.

Totally different dynamic. Dilfer taking over a team with good foundation emotionally attached to their prior coaching staff. Deion taking over a terrible team with a bad culture that lacks standards or a vision of what the standard will be. One you give love and the other you shake up to see who is in or out. Those who respond well have a chance to be the foundation, those who take themselves out saved you the time and trouble of showing them the door.

I loved Deion’s message.

I thought Dilfer’s tone was good for UAB situation.

I think my favorite part is when he tells the kids they aren't going to be wearing hats at their meetings as he wears a hat in their meeting.
