When UNCW is winning this is the standard for the last two+ decades. We should continue this home vs home game instead of Campbell every year. Would prefer ECU, App State, or UNCC
Don’t forget Campbell is joining the CAA summer of 23.
Yep, and we're looking for an in state OOC game to replace them. We've had them on our schedule for decades. If you watched the game what did you think of the atmosphere at Trask?
Being there it was a large crowd but it lacked intensity due to what I believe is the fact that the Hawks were in control most of the game
I was there and thought the crowd was pretty intense. Not to the level of some of our biggest games, but not bad. It also wasn't a confrence game were a title was on the line.

That's fair
I've just heard louder. It was a hard game to get into like that with lots of foul calls. Excellent turnout overall. If it wasn't a sellout it was pretty darn close

Lol, you say that like it was a slam on White. It wasn't. That's his style of play and the way he scores. He is at his best when he is in the paint, scrapping for rebounds, drawing fouls and using his power and motor to score and draw fouls
Look at his stats last night.
ZERO three point attempts and we didn't have him setting up outside to take threes. Instead we put him in the post and let him work the paint. As a result he ended up with 14 rebounds and went to the line for 17 FT attempts. He was also 4-6 from the field. He is not a three point shooter and, like I said before, when we set him up outside to shoot threes he isn't rebounding. NOW he is getting the ball in the paint and is kicking out to our best three point shooters and it's paying off. And he's staying in the paint to grab rebounds.
When he plays his game he is a force. When he is set up outside to shoot three's we're wasting his "junk ball" scoring talent in the paint. This change may well be the difference in this teams offense going forward and improves our chance to be really good. So keep calling him junk ball White, it's a compliment.
