Well, they hit 10 homeruns today to salvage one game in the three game series, winning 18-12. This team just doesn't have enough pitching, but I really don't believe that BG is that great, so I am pretty convinced they still have a shot in the MAC.

But our AD gave extensions to volleyball and football coaches so that won’t happen.,

Can you imagine hitting 10 home runs and needing extra innings to win?

Pluto mentioned Stricklin in an article today. I guess he discovered Charlie Condon at Georgia (as a walk-on no less). Condon is a possibility for the #1 overall pick (which the Guardians own). He currently has 24 Hrs in 36 games and a Slugging% that looks like a really good OPS. For some perspective the all time college HR record is 48 and it was in 75 games played. 40+ in a single season has only happened 4 times.

I couldn't help but think, finding him as a walk-on at Georgia means if he was still at Kent this kid would probably play for us.

He’s from the heart of Georgia so I highly doubt that.

As for Stricklin, he’s going to be coaching summer ball in Virginia this year, so the itch to get back in the game is there, but we’re probably miles apart from his salary at Georgia to what we can pay.

3rd best ERA in the MAC. Batting is wasting pitching in D1 baseball right now.

Well, they only had 8 homeruns in regulation. Needed the 10th to get to 10 on the day.

I know - doesn't change my frustration level with the fact that Duncan has basically turned our proud baseball program into a mid-level MAC program.
