1) Kennesaw was never that significant in FCS. An occasional win or two over a top 20 fcs team doesn't mean very much, and you never advanced far in the playoffs. The Big South is weak, so we really don't care what your record there was. Anybody outside the top 10 in fcs is really not good.

2) 5k attendance is pathetic, and not enough to justify a move to FBS. JMU's 20-25k per game is legit butts in seats. We left FCS in part because it was boring playing schools in empty stadiums that we blew out by 50 points each week. Your own coach had a huge video rant about how pathetic your home crowd is.

3) Nobody cares what you spout off here. Go talk trash with your CUSA buddies. Maybe if you win that conference people will notice. Or maybe not. Either way, mumbling here about your FCS games vs what Georgia St did years ago impresses nobody.

Bro, SMH KSU was in the top 10 in the FCS for 4 seasons once rank #5 and #3 please just stop. KSU had top 6 wins. 03-lmfao

Didn't yall lose to GSU when yall were ranked pretty high? And then GSU went on to only win like one other game?

The only one of that group MIGHT be Jacksonville State, but that's borderline. But they're not anywhere close to Sun Belt realm.

You were ranked highly to end the regular season four times and then exposed as frauds in the playoffs four times. The only top 6 team you've beaten is Jacksonville State twice. And they were even bigger frauds because they historically undefeated in the OVC and then crash out of the playoffs nearly instantly. No one respected or feared them, and no one respects or fears KSU.

I had a chuckle or two reading about their illustrious football history. To sum it up... Bad to average teams and then "OH MY GOD... THAT'S BOBBY PETRINO'S MOTORCYCLE ENTERING THE ARENA!!!"

If you were to compare the last decade in 1-AA for Marshall, JMU, Appy State and GaSouthern it would really illustrate what these other schools don't realize. They just don't get it because they don't have anything to compare their history with.

RE: OT: Reports of Austin Peay to FBS
Nothing has really rocked the pillars of Heaven and the gates of hell like when Marshall renewed rivalries with App and GaSo and to a little lesser extent, JMU. ODU and us are already foes, even though it is a bit skewed at present. And JMU renewed rivalries with App and ODU and GaSo and Marshall.

Among App, Marshall, GaSo, and JMU, those are four of probably the six top FCS programs in history: GaSo in the 80's, Marshall and YSU in the 90's, App in the 2000/10's, and JMU after that. NDSU being the other team.

Marshall appeared in the NCAA Championship Game in 1987, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1995, and 1996 winning two titles in 1992 and a perfect 15-0 in 1996.

0-1 vs. ULM
1-2 vs. Youngstown State (Jim Tressel)
1-1 vs. Montana

I always felt like Marshall was a rivalry waiting to happen. Y'all had your run in D1AA and moved up right before we actually got good. We had a good rivalry against App but they left just as we started to make major investments in football. A lot of fans are happy to be playing ODU and App State again, and while I am too, I am looking forward to building a rivalry with Marshall, as to me it feels like we are kindred spirits of a sort.

I'll have to agree with you. I think our games become quite heated over the next couple of years.
