Rep. Omar came close to losing to a good candidate (former Minneapolis Councilmember Don Samuels) this year, and it's a real shame for her district, Minnesota and the country that he didn't get the win.
Cut to the chase: If despite your primary vote, either Tlaib or Omar won the nomination, would you vote from her or her republican opponent in the general?
Hard for me to imagine a case where I would in a House race, as Tlaib and Omar can be counted on to vote for a Democrat for Speaker. The Speaker controls the agenda and determines what will be voted on, and I'm always going to vote in support of the Democratic agenda vs. empowering the Party of No.
Now if they were running for Senate or Governor, where one individual matters more, and faced a reasonable Republican opponent, I might very well vote for the Republican. More likely for Governor than Senate, as many of the same things are true of the Senate Majority Leader that I said about the Speaker of the House. I'd certainly take into account the likelihood of that one seat swinging control of the Senate, or not.

So, team over country. Got it.
And for the record, I would say that voting for Tlaib or Omar is worse than having a meal with anyone.

From a thread on Walker:

I don't really care that much about moral high ground, probably because i don't think either side can truly claim it. What I care about is whether the senator/representative is going to vote the way I would on each question. Walker probably will on most. Warnock definitely will not on any.
How is your position any different than Nole's? If Omar and Tlaib can be counted on to reliably vote for democratic positions, following your logic, shouldn't he vote for the candidate that would vote the way he would on each question?
Even if that is for Omar or Tlaib?

They're not white, thus diverse. So...it's okay in their playbook.
Hypocrites of the highest magnitude.
