RE: Tony Kurre’s latest interview with Mark Ingram
On one of his recent podcasts Ingram went over the finances of joining the AAC and it's not as big of a revenue increase initially as I thought. He said this year we get about $1M more in TV revenue, but have to pay the conference over $500k in entrance fees and contributions to the conference reserve account. Then the AAC pays for football and basketball officials whereas CUSA did not so that represnts a savings of $400k. So in total we get about $800-$900k more conference revenue this year before accounting for bowl games and NCAA tournament.
