I can't believe how uninformed people are about Dilfer. Dudley just regurgitated what he read from Wikipedia about him, and most people are just repeating either the "former Super Bowl champion quarterback" or "high school coach" descriptions.

He is most known in the football community as a QB whisperer, and has had just about every starting QB in the NFL come through his Elite 11 camps, not to mention just about every Power 5 starter.

If people around these parts just heard how much impact Dilfer had on Tua, and how much Tua trusted Dilfer to develop him--even after his hip injury while he was at UAT, they would change their tune. I am surprised that Dudley didn't lead with that, except that he clearly isn't that knowledgeable about such things.

Dudley is pretty bad at his job.

Unfortunately I felt the same way. I had read the same info on Wiki. I was hoping for some deeper insight.

They are probably paid to be bad. Paid not to put any effort into UAB coverage.
Remember Michael Corleone in the Godfather when he was going to put the hit on Virgil "The Turk" Sollozzo and Capt. McCluskey.

He said to Tom "we have newspaper people on the payroll, don't we, Tom? And they might like a story like that. In our case, lazy and lousy coverage.

That's synonymous to a hit!
