Which question was his? I keep waiting to hear Irvine
Something along the lines of does it feel weird.
Did he say something about the attendance at games too? It feels like that’s all he knows.
What was the attendance at the press conference? Was it above or below the C-USA average? Will we be able to meet the average attendance at our press conferences next year when we’re in the AAC? What’s Goodman going to do to get our press conference attendance numbers up?
If we just had better journalists in the Birmingham area, we might be able to successfully compete with most of the SEC press conferences in attendance? Maybe it’s time to let our journalists go and bring in a splash hire like Stephen A. Smith to take our press conferences to the next level!

The attendance number doesn't matter, only butts in seats count!
He mentioned Vincent “giving him a project” and BV leading the team in the Bahamas. I suppose that means Dilfer will be on the sidelines in Bahamas? Bowl games complicate transitions though I wouldn’t trade them for anything.
Usually the incoming coach is at the game, but not on the sidelines. He is mainly just there to do the interview with the TV crew calling the game. Weather that translates to a game in the Bahamas or not, I have no idea.

...funny, as he noted he has watched coaches over the years (mostly NFL during his media gigs, I assume) do intro pressers, and how folks note "that guy won the press conference", but Dilfer could see the deal was 'scripted' and said, "eh, maybe - but dude won't last there as coach for more than a few years..." hopefully NOT a self-fulfilling statement... but I did enjoy the fact he was an 'off the cuff' speaker and seems to be pretty 'quick' on his feet, which you HAVE to be when Goodman is hurling those fastballs... "Like, Is This Crazy, or WHAT???" ...that cat HAD to have been on the chronic this afternoon...
I just watched the presser. I haven’t expressed my thoughts on this whole situation on social media and to be honest, I don’t post here much anymore because often times, the toxicity of Blazertalk has driven me away from talking about something that I love and care about very much.
With that said, I was sincerely disappointed when Coach Dilfer was announced last night. But watching this press conference, I sincerely hope he pours in to this team, this university, this city the way he has said he will be committed to doing. If he does, then I believe that UAB football will enjoy a level of success never seen.
I will forever be grateful for Coach Clark and Coach Vincent for their contributions and investments in my university. But nothing last forever, especially in the world of college athletics. If you don’t believe that, you should climb out from under the rock you live.
I believe UAB’s best days are in front of us, not behind us.

Goodman's article from this morning says it was Jim Cavale, founder of INFLCR. He had a connection with a guy that runs a nonprofit for veterans and that guy knew Dilfer.
