HCHF was no different than any other coach. He wanted to be here….. until he didn’t. I don’t have hard feelings about it.

Hopefully we’ll find another coach that wants a great job, and he’s got a heart for Christ as well.

The guys on ASOR are saying Ian McCaw hopes to name a new HC within a week. That’s pretty darn quick.

That tells me that HCHF has been very open and talking with McCaw through this whole thing, and in turn, McCaw has been talking to candidates for weeks likely.

Freeze stopped wanting to be here as soon as Auburn reached out to him. He quit on this team at that point and that’s where I have a problem with him. We all know that Freeze has had fanciful dreams about the SEC since he left there. We all know that this day would eventually come. But up until today anyway, he’s been an employee of Liberty University. He quit that employer 3 weeks ago while continuing to receive all the benefits of that employer in my opinion. Liberty has been very good to Freeze. The university, the team and the fans deserved better than what Freeze has given them the last few weeks.

Trusting that Ian will get the right guy for Liberty. There are a few names that ASOR mentioned that would be a definite no for me. Chizik's Carolina lead defense gave up a thousand points and a million yards this year. Streeter was not impressive at all in his first year as the OC at Clemson. London's success this year can't cover up all the previous failed years, especially the ones at Virginia. I think we need someone who has proven he can succeed as a head coach. There may be a gem in the rough in one of these assistant coaches, but can we afford to take a chance on someone who has never proven that they could handle being a head coach? Do we want to take a chance at regressing? Like I said, I'll trust Ian to make the right choice, whoever it may be.

Yup. No solid confirmation on my end, but it appears its Chadwell.

Really excited about the future of Liberty football. I think this hire was a home run. Appreciate all that Coach Freeze did while he was here and give him credit for creating a firm foundation of a winning culture. But there was always the thought of when will he leave, not is he going to leave. We all knew that day would come, but it kind of took away from enjoying the moment. I think Coach Chadwell wants to be here for the long haul and that’s exciting. I trusted that Ian would get the right guy for Liberty and I think he did just that.
