That statement makes me feel old in a hurry. The first time I heard the expression, it was "that and fifteen cents" will buy you a cup of coffee". Sigh. Damn you, Starbucks.

South Florida is the worst among the original members
ECU is worst among the current members
I would rate UConn the worse of the original members. Not sure why they were not included in the graphic even though they left 2 years ago. I can see why Louisville was not included since they bailed after only 1 year. But Uconn left in 2020.
Agreed, hard to believe now that ECU was ranked 18th the 1st time we played UCONN & was the 1st ever ‘G5’ team to crack the inaugural CFP poll. There was an ESPN poll that came out around then stating that ECU deserved to be in a P5 league more than any other team on the outside (BYU was 2nd). Losing certainly changes perception. At least we beat UCONN regularly although they did give us trouble in that 1st ever meeting.
I will miss the rivalry with UCF. I do think we are headed in the right direction and maybe someday soon we will earn the status necessary to merit consideration in the Big 12 or a watered down ACC. Until then, it’s time to rack up Ws. I think ECU, SMU, Memphis, Tulane, and UTSA will all be the the heavy hitters in this new 14-team configuration.
