So I am spending tonight running test sims to make sure the computer software does what I want. I ran the first one without alliances. The highlights:

OsageJ found spiritual enlightenment and attempted a pacifist Run in a fight to the death. Perfectly acceptable Sim.
2 different App State fans died of disease. While I admit its been a rough year for the Mountaineers, We want actual bloodshed in this thing, so I'm tweaking that to lessen the chance of random deaths
CatMom fell madly in love with KickitToScotty. Seemed too kinky to me. I mean I get wanting to cozy up to the best, but that was a bad look for the Mom. I am reducing those chances.

Both Troy fans died on Day 1. I guess winning the conference title was too much in one day for that fan base.

HerdfanGuest won the first practice Sim, defeating JMU007 in the final battle. I mean, they did beat JMU this season...


In the end, I've got some settings to tweak before we do the real thing.

Practice Sim 2: Much better results, There's fewer tweaks to make now:

Highlights:

GaSoEagle stepped on a landmine and died in 5 minutes

Somehow Slycat and OsageJ got into a sword fight and neither killed each other, which seemed accurate to me.

The Marshall Fan group set fire to the ODU Alliance's hut, killing 2.

Rather than listen to Rileylives proclaim their love for him, JMU007 jumped off a cliff.

Porcine was gifted an Axe by a sponsor and became very proficient at using it. He killed 5 people, and won the games by brutally hacking ODI to death in the finale.

I used alliance advantage in this one. The result was there were fewer early deaths, but lots of group attacks, as expected.

App dying from internally created wounds seems all too appropriate this year.

Hmmm..so far the fighting skills seems to have deserted me. For some reason I can see Sly and me slapping our swords together a couple of times, throwing them at each other and running off. Very Monty Python! Every good show needs comedy relief. Sly, that might be us.

Tis just a practice sim. The real thing starts tomorrow...

Cutoff time for finalizing alliances is midnight tonight CT. Any alliances made after that point will not get any advantage.

Alliances can be changed during the rest day on Thursday.

Also, should I do a new thread for the games themselves, or just keep adding to this one?

I have been out running,climbing and practising with my bow!!! Bought a new sword and been hacking stuff to pieces all over. Lets get going!!
