Fans of teams with an extra $30 million are better at driving and parking.

*Thinks back on some of the driving I saw in Memphis*

I agree with this as well.

Or their fans don’t make a big deal of it. Eyes on the prize.

Whoa easy there. Anything that sorta, maybe, kinda, possibly, might be a problem is a lot to deal with for an OCS.

Glad to be bowling, despite not great football. Great for the players after a long year. Good to get more work in. I hope we end up in B-ham vs SEC opponent. Then we can really see what we have for the upcoming season. New stadium. We'll see.

Trying to return the thread to the original subject....

Just saw on the net that Athlon has updated their projections and now have us playing Missouri in Birmingham.

College Football News also shows us in Birmingham vs. Missouri.

Of course, their guesses aren't really any more valid than anyone else's on here. We should hear something closer to the facts on Sunday afternoon - maybe.

While I think I would prefer Birmingham & the new stadium vs SEC, the Independence Bowl vs Southern MS would be pretty cool too. Sounds like Independence will be AAC vs SBC with Memphis & couple of the TX schools in play from the AAC & USM & Louisiana from the SBC.

Sounds good to me. Does anyone know the payouts?

Edit: sorry for the lazy post. This says B-ham Bowl$1.375M vs Independent Bowl $2.2M. Travel costs seem similar - bus to either, I’d assume + hotel + similar food.

IIRC the 3 options available to us that are above the minimum payout are
B'ham
Independence
Military

Payouts don't really matter. Half go to the conference and the other half net of unsold tickets goes to the school
