The Tigers might not be invited to play. That would save some money. Probably not enough to be able to fire CRS but it would be a start.

RE: Week 13 Bowl Projections
I would guess by AAC standings that we'd have the last pick of the bowls (since we are the last bowl eligible team), but I don't think it works like that.

My gut tells me that we'd turn down playing a P5 opponent and instead opt to play in the softest G5 available bowl. Admin want a chance to win so that they can salvage the season as somewhat successful-- even if it means turning down playing Florida in Birmingham or Pittsburgh in Boston in order to play a C-USA team in Shreveport.

I'd almost prefer that than to play an Army or Southern Miss. We've hid behind an easy schedule-- and will have a cupcake schedule next year. I think it would do the program good to have those flaws completely out in the open.

But, after the brutal season we've had, I think leadership wants a cupcake bowl and the chance to salve some wounds.

It’s been since 2018 plus it’s a brand new stadium and Uptown area is now very nice.

Florida would kill us, but I would at least go to that one. I’m sick of playing games where I’m just not interested in our opponent.

I saw where Athlon has forecast that we end up in the Independence Bowl against Louisiana.

Typically people are referring to Louisiana Lafayette when they just say Louisiana. Not sure why though, when I hear it my mind goes to LSU at first.

We always find reasons to turn to cupcakes.

Because it is THE University of Louisiana.
