Dang, perhaps the most valuable player on this year's team.

hard to believe so many enter transfer portals when there is no guarantee that they find any better place than they have now. Not a good way to start out in a bigger, better conference.

Coe will absolutely get a seat at just about any FBS school after this past season, but the point remains. I think it was only something like 38% of kids who entered the portal last year found a new home.

I started to look for a website that shows players entering the portal by team but thought better of it. Just show me the roster next year when the season starts.

We should leave tracking the transfer portal to the professionals and trust that this coaching staff knows what it's doing.

Another in the long list of 3 star or low 4 star Cincinnati kids going to OSU or Michigan and transferring out in a year.

I don’t understand the point of these transfers. They have to be getting better NIL money than those at lesser programs. If they aren’t good enough to play for OSU, they ain’t gonna be going to the League regardless.

Just saying it seems like their best option is to stay where they are, work as hard as they can, and hope for the best.

Hah, same. Let me know if Dontay Corleone leaves too.

I thought of Burrow before I posted. One can argue that QB is a special case, because there is only one spot per team, and the skill set doesn’t readily transfer to any other position on the field.

In realty, Burrow would likely have been invited to camp, and would now be an NFL starter. A sure thing for Canton that a college coach misjudged, much like Brady.

Cool site. Thanks. Looks like Coe, Renfro, and JQ are the three that hurt so far.

Wisconsin has more in the portal than uc right now. Let's see how it plays out. Kids are going to explore options when they lose their coach, especially with how easy it is for them to do so right now.

There's over 1,000 names in the portal. It's happening everywhere and I think this is the "new normal" unless some legislative changes occur. Someone joked elsewhere there might be more players in the portal than who have remained on their roster.

I don't think there is a clear guide for any player to follow. Some players probably would benefit from sticking around and fighting through the depth chart but there are plenty who need a new situation too.

It is kind of interesting that we only have 4 guys in the portal who would've been contributors this coming season (Renfro, JQ, Sheppard, and Coe) with only two who were this year at all. There are a ton of teams who are seeing way more fallout from this than we are at the moment, hell, Alabama's entire starting OL is in the portal lol.

EDIT: Looks like Jadon Thompson just entered the portal as well. I'd imagine with him being a Chicago guy and someone Mike Brown had a strong connection with, he may end up in Madison soon enough.

Biggest travesty of this past season was how little they used Josh and Leonard!

Would love to see Josh end up with the Bengals!
