RE: Cincinnati Transfer Tracker
Luke Kandra, a former 4* Top 200 recruit from Louisville (by way of Elder) committed to Cincinnati. Was pegged as the starting RG this coming season at Louisville and performed very well over the last two years as a spot starter and rotational piece at both G and T (PFF grade of 90.2 over the last two years).

Great news. Here's hoping it's the first wave from a high tide of quality players soon to be Bearcats. Satterfield has our attention with this one. And the attention of all the Elder fans around town sporting yard signs and purple flags. 02-13-banana

If this is referring to Fletcher, I don't think he can get paid as an international student. Wasn't he donating his jersey sale, etc. funds to other teammates or charity because of this?

Yep...he is not allowed to take advantage of NIL due to his F1 Visa status.

Corleone is the man. He seems to be all in on UC and selling the program to get the best people here (or to stay here).

Maybe Kerry Combs needs to be dispatched down under for some more Australian recruits who are "NIL free". 05-stirthepot

That is silly. Been a while since I've had to look at it but the F1 Visa preclusion is for employment without approval from the DHS. Are we saying NIL is employment now? Surprised the courts haven't looked at it. Betting they will when some basketball phenom from Lithuania brings an action to get paid.

I don't presume to know all his reasoning, but I take it as a pretty positive sign that he apparently was eager to follow Satt and his OL coach Cardwell to UC. BTW, "back in high school, Kandra ranked as the No. 209 prospect in the country and No. 6 offensive guard prospect according to 247Sports."

Of course NIL is about employment. Are people getting asked to give to UC Reigns so that they can use a name, image or likeness of a UC player in their business or personal life? Heck, no. It is for straight up wages for athletes, no matter what the name says.

Ahh. Therin lies the one billion dollar trap.

If it's employment, OSHA and workers comp, and social security, state and federal withholding and all of the other state and federal statutes and trappings of at will or contract employment apply.

It is or it isn't. Pick yer poison.

Bummed about his time here. I was really hoping he would be the next great Bearcat pass rusher. Seems like something we could have really used this past year.
