On another note, does Cincy hire Paul Chryst? He never had a losing season at Wisconsin, and has a very similar style to Fickell.

I was just thinking that same thing. He’s truly one of the better options out there.

You're right, but UC fans had me convinced he was staying except for the OSU job. They seem to have disappeared now.

it will be interesting how many coaches Fickell takes with him to Madison. And more importantley for the Bearcats will be how many key players transfer to other schools.

He stayed 6 years and turned down many jobs where people thought he was gone. The closest he came was Michigan state which told me he really wanted to be in the big 10. Apparently the 3rd or 4th best job there was good enough for him to make the leap. Uc won big before fickell and can win big after.

A loss to Tulane followed up by losing their most successful head coach in program history. Watch their B12 invite get revoked next.

Definitely bad timing for him to leave.
