Crescendo to even beyond our wildest expectations/imagination:

There aren't any gr8 teams this year. A team that cuts down the nets after The Madness of March could easily be an absolute "Dark Horse"

With the emergence of playmakers such as Keonte Kennedy, Memphis absolutely has a change at being that horse.... I will admit that seeing his footage, I saw flashes that gave me the impression that Keonte wouldn't be as effective (from a defensive perspective). Kudos to Coach Penny and his system, Keonte is acclimating beautifully. In Keonte, I'm seeing the playmaking abilities of Landers with the tenacity of Boogie or even Lester. In a very short time, Keonte has asserted himself well...The sky is the limit, as he seems to relish this opportunity.

He's quicker than Nolley, he's a better finisher and seems NOT afraid to take the shot, albeit with a quicker release I might add.

I dare to say he shoots as good as Lester, though seems to be a more capable ball-handler, follows up his missed -shots just as well and AGAIN, Keonte gets the nod with his athleticism...

If Keonte can manage to get more minutes alongside KD, I feel his game will flourish even more, helping us remove the offensive load from Kendrick, making Memphis an amazingly dynamic team..... Add Damaria next to KD and the versatility of Keonte to hold down the 3 position and Memphis will crescendo as "The Darkhorse"....We will "punch our tickets" and plan for a deep run this March with confidence that we can outgun any team.....And you know wee gonna play D

Couldnt disagree more. Alo and Jayden must eat first, Im sure Keonte knew he would be backing them up as he should.

I like the kid and think he is solid, but he isn't the missing piece. Unfortunately even with Franklin, we appear to still be short a big. Maybe Kao catches fire but I doubt it. We need a Moussa type player.

They showed that dunk about 15 times and that has been the spark we needed.

I recall it being on Sunday Evening, gosh, I'm trying to recall the last guard that finished anywhere close....D Rose of course...CDR/Geron Johnson and I think Jeremiah finished with authority once or twice and of course Penny was the best

Serious question what are L'max's % as I am advocating that they swap roles (not to bash) I really don't get into %.Never once looked into what Penny's percentages were over his career.....They don't reflect or transl8 directly into what's being emphasized.

One instance is directly based off of the way defenses play us...Watching the recent tourney. Two defenders constantly shaded Kendric, if he passed to another wing, they would rotate over hard.In contrast, a less capable defender would release onto L'max, as they didn't honor or respect his ability to shoot/score....This eliminates lanes;spacing;room to operate/shoot if you can imagine...

One more example: Based upon our team philosophy. We are a team that wants more attempts/possessions based upon offensive rebounds (as one element). However, if a player either hesitates during the flow of the offense or is either reluctant to put up a shot, it reaks havok on the timing of your teammates to position themselves for offensive boards, hence, the very debilitating/embarassing/demoralizing outlet passes given up to StL....The rhytm is just off....This second/third chance opportunities is Penny's system and Memphis' dna....it's the exact system that was garned one of the best systems in the country, with highest % of second-chance pts that won the NIT championship, beating those teams by such a wide margin
